About

Matteo De Venuto

I’m Matteo, an Italian developer and forex trader, born and raised in Monaco 🇲🇨

Most of what I build starts as something I need myself. Forexizer Calculator began as a personal trading tool and is now an app with paying subscribers.

What I do

Forexizer Command Center. What I’m building now: a web trading workspace for personal and prop firm accounts that keeps balances, risk limits, trades, and the journal in one view, with imports from 23 trading platforms. Built with Next.js, TypeScript, Supabase, and Prisma.

Forexizer Calculator. A position size calculator for funded traders managing multiple accounts, available on iOS, Android, and macOS with 1,000+ downloads. Built with React Native and Expo, a Node.js API and MongoDB database, RevenueCat for subscriptions, and Railway for deployments. I write about the hard parts here, like the bug that locked out paying customers and keeping live exchange rates cheap and reliable.

Trading. I’m a forex trader at Falcon FX. Trading is where my product ideas come from.

Commercial. At Granbras Consulting in Monaco, we work behind the scenes with select partners on commercial relationships: introductions, market access, and execution.

Outside of work

I’m into computers in general: I run a homelab, daily-drive Linux, care a lot about privacy, and lately I’ve been testing how far local AI models can go on consumer hardware. Away from the keyboard I ride my bike and follow every Formula 1 race 🏎️
